Understanding Texas Alcohol Laws

Texas has some of the most specific alcohol service laws in the country. As a licensed establishment, Pour Behavior is responsible for every drink we serve.

The TABC License

Our TABC license is our most valuable operating permit. Violations can result in fines, suspension, or permanent revocation.

Key Legal Requirements

Never serve a visibly intoxicated person

Never serve anyone under 21 years of age

Always check ID for anyone who appears under 30

Document refusals when possible

Safe Harbor Protection

Texas law provides safe harbor protection to employees who complete TABC-approved training. If you complete this course and follow proper procedures, you have legal protection even if a guest later causes harm.
